Today saw both the Mens and Women's County Junior Pairs played at Banister Park, with Oakley players taking both titles.

In the Women's Junior Pairs Final ,Heather Statham and Alice Lovett played against Mollie Firth, the 2021 Junior Singles Champion, and Kiera Patel from Milton Park Ladies. With Milton Park winning the toss they chose to play short jack which Heather and Alice struggled to deal with for a few ends before eventually getting on the board. Oakley lengthened the jack to a more playable length and finally ran out 21-11 winners after 17 ends helped by a 5 and 3.

in the Men's Junior Pairs Ashley Nethercliffe was paired with Reece Graham from Alton Social. (in junior events players do not have to be from the same club) In the semi-final they had a comfortable win 26-5 against two relatively inexperienced players from Banister Park but the final was a different matter against Jake Palmer and Liam May also from Banister Park. In the early stages the game was close but with Ashley in fine form they eventually won 19-12 giving Ashley some consolation for having yesterday been denied the opportunity to play in the Junior Singles. Congratulations to all the players and we are very proud to have 2021 representatives at Leamington in 3 events
