ONE HUNDRED NOT OUT

Everyone at Oakley BC hopes today will be a very special one for Frank Tuffs who is celebrating his 100th Birthday. A founder member of the Club and its President in 1986, Frank is one of just four current members to have been made a Life Vice President in recognition of service to the Club.

Covid-19 restrictions have meant that it is not possible to celebrate Frank’s birthday in the way we would have liked. However, the Club has organised a surprise Zoom party so that those who have known him over many years can pass on their congratulations. Naturally, cards, flowers and balloons are on their way but we have also arranged for a birthday meal to be delivered to Frank and his daughter at lunch time. We are particularly grateful to Sarah and Mark at the Fox for their help in setting up this lunch.

Frank is looking forward to getting back on the green in the summer and it is is hoped further celebrations will be possible at Malshanger, once Covid-19 restrictions have hopefully, been eased.
