OAKLEY VS YATELEY TOP CLUB RESULT

This morning at Malshanger, Oakley hosted Yateley in the Men's National Top Club Event. The morning began well for the hosts with Ashley Nethercliffe racing to a 12-1 lead in the Singles and Terry Heath 5-0 up in the Two Wood Singles. In both cases the Yateley players rallied but by soon after 11 am Oakley had two points in the bag and then it was a case of wait and see whether a point could be picked up in the other 3 disciplines. The Pairs were looking good but the Triples made a shaky start as did the Fours, which struggled throughout, but eventually when Oakley won the Triples, the game was conceded by Yateley, giving Oakley a 5-0 victory.
