NEW FACES IN CLUB TRIPLES FINAL

Today saw the Club's One Day Triples event being played on our green at Malshanger. This event sees all entants classified as lead, two or skip with a draw to decide who plays with whom - the hope being that all teams will be of similar strength so that everyone has a chance to win. The teams are divided into two leagues and all teams in each league play each. The finalists from the two leagues were Dave Cosgrove, in his first year of bowls, Sue Dixon and Janie Vickers, unbeaten in their round robin games, and they played Marion Bringes, Colin Wood and John Ryan who at the round robin were tied on points for top of their league and came through thanks to a better shot difference of just one shot. The final itself was close with Janie's triple taking an early lead but it was Marion, Colin and John who emerged as the 2021 Triples Champions. Well done to all who participated.
