As we approach the start of the outdoor bowls season, members have been busy completing improvements to the pavilion. Earlier in the year, following receipt of a grant from Hampshire County Council, arranged by Councillor Juliet Henderson, we painted the inside of the building and installed new tables. This week we have ripped out the old carpet tiles and a new carpet has been laid in the main and changing rooms. Again we were fortunate to obtain funding to assist with the costs and thanks go to Basingstoke and Deane Council and to Councillor Julian Jones who approved the Strengthening Communities grant. We look forward to using the improved facilities when we reopen on 19th April.
