DRAWN FOURS

Wednesday morning began sunny and warm as 32 Oakley members began their participation in the Club's Drawn Fours competition. This event sees all entrants classified as lead, two, three or skip with a draw to decide who plays with whom - the hope being that all teams will be of similar strength so that everyone has a chance to win. The teams are divided into two leagues and all teams in each league play each other. The finalists from the two leagues were Marion Bringes (in her third one-day final of 2021), first year bowler Malcolm Robson, Shirley Ball and Ruth Bown who took on Lesley Dumalow, Colin Wood, Mary Varndell and Bob Goodyear and, in a closely fought match, it was the latter four who emerged as winners. Congratulations to the winners and thank you to those who organised the event.
