Janie Vickers, Sue Dixon and Alice Lovett have qualified for the County Last Eights at Southampton after defeating clubmates Shirley Ball, Angie Rowe and Sandra Lee in this evenings Northern Area Final played at Farnborough BC. Sandra's triple scored on the first end but they dropped scores of 3 in four of the next five ends and left themselves a mountain to climb. Try as they did, there was no way back and the match was conceded at 17 ends. Congratulations to Janie's team and commiserations to Sandra's team which did so well to reach this late stage. This is the ninth successive year that Oakley players have qualified for the Last Eights and we wish our players good luck and success.
