Last evening saw the Club hold its AGM using Zoom Technology. Who a year ago would have thought over 40 people would log in or even know how to login in to such a meeting? The Agenda was stream lined and, given the current Covid restrictions, many of the normal formalities could not be observed. However, arrangements had been made for the chain of office to be at incoming President John Yarrall's home so we could all see him presented with it by his wife Diane. The election of Officers and Committee was straight forward with the only new faces being Spencer Kerley as Vice President, Anji Smith and Hazel Solomon as Club Captain and Vice Captain respectively and with Shirley Ball joining the Committee. Tribute was paid to Barry Lee who, because of ill health, had, after very many years service felt it necessary to retire as Club Captain. Treasurer Sean reported that, despite the financial issues arising from Covid, the Club remained financially in good health and the Committee's recommendations for 2021 subscriptions were approved unanimously. Concluding the meeting, President John thanked all members for their support in a difficult year and expressed the hope that the 2021 season would see us getting back to a more normal programme of bowls.
