NEW MALSHANGER BOWL WINNERS

The first Oakley one day competition of 2026 saw 22 teams competing for the prestigious Malshanger Bowl. With the teams divided into four leagues it was the pairs skipped by Janie Vickers, Martin Vickers, Hugh Aherne and Richard Waters that reached the semi finals although Richard's pairing came through only after a one end shoot out, having tied on points and shots difference with Ted Trantum's pair. The semi finals were close run events and the final saw some brilliant bowling with the match going to an extra end. In his first full season of bowls, Paul Critchell partnered by Club Captain Hugh Aherne defeated Carol Phillips and Richard Waters.========
