Oakley's congratulations to Alice Lovett who last night comprehensively beat Lorraine Slater of Banister Park to retain the County Women's Indoor Singles title. The result was some compensation for her defeat the previous week in the quarter finals of the National Family Pairs. Playing with Dad, Gary, they lost agonisingly by one shot to the Holmes brothers who went on to lift the title.
We look forward to welcoming Alice back onto our outdoor green when the new season begins on Saturday.
