The Club's congratulations go to Ashley Nethercliffe who has qualified to represent Hampshire in the Men's Junior Singles at Leamington. The competition began on the 11th June at Banister Park and, after Ashley had played and won three matches in the day, a decision was made that his semi-final against Liam May would be played at a later date. The County website indicated that the re-arranged match would be played in August but, in the event, it was played early and Ashley came through with a 21-8 victory to reach the Nationals in the Juniors for the second time. At Leamington he will join Alice Lovett who had already qualified by reaching and winning the equivalent women's event. Good luck at Leamington to both players and to our Ladies's fours. Enjoy the experience.
