OAKLEY MEN REACH SEMI-FINAL

Yesterday morning at Longmeadow IBC, Oakley played against Atherley Bears in the last game in the group stage of the Moreton Cup. Oakley won 4-1 - winning on one rink and drawing on the other.

The scores are not available but the winning rink was Ted Brown, Terry Varndell, Malcolm Grime and Ashley Nethercliffe, who won quite convincingly after a slow start. The rink that drew was Steve Devonish, Sean Lassman, Bob Goodyear and Fred Norris.

Oakley are now confirmed as group winners and have qualified for the semi-final on Sunday 22nd March, If successful, they will then play in the final on Sunday 29th March.
