AWESOME ALICE

This evening at Longmeadow IBC, Alice Lovett, looking to follow up her success in 2021 in reaching the National Junior Singles final at Leamington, took on Lyn Howard from the Dolphin Club at Poole in the Zone Final of the National Women's Indoor Singles. It was a tense and close game but the Club's congratulations go to Alice on her 21-20 victory (after 20 ends) which takes her through, for the first time, to the National Finals to be held at Nottingham on 28th March. It will be a tough game as she will play Amy Walters who won the the World Ladies Indoor Singles in 2012, 2013 and 2014, but hopefully Alice is on a roll and Oakley BC wishes her good luck at Nottingham. Alice has another chance, next week, to reach the National Finals as she is also in the Zone Final of the Two Bowl Sngles.
