This morning our Over 60's Mixed Double rink team travelled to Farnborough to take on the local club in the Tony Allcock trophy. With their new green, having been brought into play only last week neither team knew quite what to expect and a close game ensued. The rink of Sue Dixon, Ruth Bown, Bob Goodyear and Fred Norris decided not to play "3s up" and cosequently finished recording a narrow 7 shot win. This left the rink of Janie Vickers, Dave Harrison, Kay Kerley and Ted Brown having to ensure they did not drop any large scores over the remaining 3 ends. This they managed and Oakley got home by 2 shots.

Also at Farnborough this morning was Ric Newson playing his County Singles in which he beat Keith Dunstone 21-14. The Club's congratulations go to him on reaching the Northern Area Final.
