For the first time, Oakley BC entered, this winter, a team in the Longmeadow Indoor Bowling Club's League for Outdoor Clubs played on a Monday evening, with one rink representing each club. It was a long season and the 8 players who made appearances were Ric Newson (Captain), Terry Heath, Bob Goodyear, Ashley Nethercliffe, Mary Varndell, Terry Varndell, Malcolm Grime and Fred Norris. They played a total of 21 out of a possible 22 games, winning 19 and amassing a total of 38 points, which was 11 more than achieved by the runners up Kingsclere. The Club's congratulations go to all the players. Well done.
