OAKLEY TRIPLE REACH COUNTY SEMI FINAL

Because Nicole Rogers is required to be at the England Junior Squad Day this weekend the County Quarter Final of the Women's Triples had to be brought forward to Friday from its planned date of Sunday. Against the Fareham rink of Mandy Young, Carol Pullin and Sandy Pullin, the Oakley Triple of Nicole, Heather Statham and Alice Lovett were off to a flying start leading 7-0 but by 6 ends Fareham had pulled the score back to 7-5. At 12 ends Oakley led 12-6 and when they scored a four on the next end they looked in full control. Two successive threes and a single saw Fareham come back to 16-13 but a two on the 17th end gave Oakley a five shot cushion going into the last end and they eventually won 18-14. The Club's congratulations go to our team and we wish them good luck in the semi final when they play either New Milton or Romsey.
