OAKLEY MEN PROGRESS IN NATIONAL CLUB TWO RINK

This morning at Malshanger, Oakley took on Aldershot Traction in the National Club Two Rink competition. Oakley began well and by halfway Ashley Nethercliffe's rink was leading 12-4 and Ted Brown's 14-6. Over the next 5 ends, Oakley's lead increased by just 1 shot and, although over the next three ends the Traco rink against Ashley drew closer, Ted's team ensured that the 16/17 shot gap was maintained. Oakley eventually triumphed 39-23 and will, in the next round, play either Farnborough or Pyestock.
