OAKLEY "A" REACH CUSHEON SEMI-FINAL

On Saturday evening at Loddon Vale, three Oakley rinks were competing in the quarter-finals of the Cusheon Trophy, with one semi-final spot place guaranteed as the "A" team were drawn aginst the "C" team. This game resulted in a 27-8 victory for Nicole Rogers, June Harvie, Dave Harrison and Ashley Nethercliffe despite a plucky display by Camila Kingshott, Martin Smith, Malcolm Grime and John Wilson. Our "B" team of Brian Nethercliffe, Ruth Bown, Ric Newson and Ted Brown lost 11-24 to the Basingstoke Town team that had beaten them in the final round of the round robin section. The semi-finals will be played next Saturday when Oakley take on Loddon Vale.
