NARROW DEFEAT FOR MALCOLM AND BOB

Last night at Cove, Malcolm Grime and Bob Goodyear played the quarter final of the County Golden Pairs against Alton Social hoping to emulate our ladies by qualifying for the semi-final to be held at Banister Park. It was a close and tense game and at 15 ends the scores were tied at 13-13. It was not to be for Oakley. Two scores of two shots for Social left Oakley too much to do on the last end and they finally went down 14-18
