Yesterday morning saw the final tranche of club finals with the first game being Terry Heath versus Ric Newson in the Open Singles. Terry, who has been in good form all season with 4 titles already under his belt, took command from the start and with Ric unusually failing to find the lines Terry emerged a comfortable 21-10 winner and retained his title. Both players were soon back on the green with Ric playing Ashley Nethercliffe in the Two Wood Final. Ric had a 5 shot advantage for much of the game and although Ashley reduced the deficit to 2 shots with four ends remaining, it was Ric who held on to win 18-12 and also retain his title. The final game saw Terry Heath take on Sean Lassman in the Men's Singles. Terry began as strong favourite but it was Sean in his first Men's Final who began the stronger taking a 6-0 lead which he increased to 19-6. Terry dug in but after a further 6 ends Sean, on his birthday, lifted the title by 21-11.
